(FSM) is among one of Baltimores most dynamic cultural and music outlets. (FSM) is committed solely to the study and preservation of music theory, jazz, blues, classical and R&B music. It is also among the most unique places to learn the business side of the music industry. All of this mixed with the most contemporary training, will help prepare a student for the world of music enabling the student to define his or her uniqueness.
This unique school of music, is the first one in Baltimore, Maryland to use the Bach to Blues Program created by Tegra Y. Featherstone. She is the brain child of this unique program. Tegra and Lurenda Featherstone established the music school with several objectives in mind:
The (FSM) music school is currently meeting and carrying out these objectives during its daily routine at its current location where it welcomes many students from all walks of life, with different back grounds and cultures all around the state of maryland.
With the population of the school growing every day, weeks, months, and years the Featherstones soon realized, that (FSM) school of music is finding it difficult to accommodate large groups of students at the current location. (FSM) has begun to outgrow its current residents with a large demand of students wanting to experience the great art of discovering their hidden musical talents. Therefore, they have located a larger vacant building which needs lots of work. So funds are needed to renovate the building and develop a new and improved (FSM) music school which would inable more kids to benefit from our programs. So now is the time that we at (FSM) greatly appreciate you helping us make a difference. Your generous donations and contributions help us to continue to provide a superior music education for our students, offer scholarships, and purchase the equipment needed to instruct our students. Your kind gift will not only help us reach our goal of 2.3 million between 2001 and 2004, it will be an "Investment in the Future of our Youth." Please print out a copy of the application below.
